Fall 2024 Session 2 - Drawing Mixed Media at Redding Parks and Recreation (Ages 5-8) Drawing classes teach children to draw what they see, to enhance their drawings with their own ideas and concepts, and to use different materials in creative ways. The class environment is non-competitive, creative, and fun. This program helps students build their self-esteem through their drawing success and enhances hand eye coordination as well as spatial and color relationships. Special holidays and events are considered for project ideas. Multicultural arts and techniques are taught; educating students in history, geography, and storytelling as well. Drawing projects may include collage, mask making, still life, animals, scenery, people, portrait, or architecture. Students may take multiple sessions from year to year and will not repeat projects.
Day/Dates: Thursdays November 07 - December 19 (no class on 11/28) Time: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Fees: Six week session $114.00 **All materials are included in the program fee.**

Susan Jackson lived in CA for 12 years where she worked as an exhibit designer, a theatrical scenic designer, and a Walt Disney Imagineer. Always knowing in her heart that she wanted to teach children; in 1990 Susan found her way to the front of the classroom at the Monart School for the Arts, Santa Monica, CA. Upon returning to CT, Susan has been arranging and teaching drawing/art classes throughout Fairfield County. In 1994 Susan opened the Paint, Draw & More! Studio, and along with teaching children and adult classes, has been teaching training workshops for teachers to use drawing in the classrooms of public schools.
